Through his work with students with ASD, emotional challenges and social language deficits, Herb Hein, of Hein Speech-Language Pathology, Inc, has found that introducing the Team concept and using common Team language is an important first step in guiding people to expand their viewpoints and improve their social skills. Herb has worked in a variety of settings, including public and non-public schools, a pediatric hospital, post-acute brain injury programs, as well as a school for emotionally challenged students where he developed his new social literacy program that transformed the behavior of students with ED and high functioning ASD diagnoses on his caseload.
