T.K. Talky Speech Treatment Tool

This simple, hand-operated device was developed by a speech-language pathologist to meet his needs and yours for:

• Showing a tongue moving within a profile to depict individual postures and a variety of “fronting” and “backing” sequences.

• Providing a motivating “toy” for children that improves their discrimination and self-monitoring skills.

T.K. Talky’s profile and moveable tongue can be effectively used alone or with reusable stickers which are provided. These movement stickers highlight the difference between the front “hammering” and back “kicking” movements of the tongue. T.K. Talky has been used successfully to instruct clients with:
